Application Methods
Mist Blower
The mist blower is very similar to an airblast sprayer in application coverage and efficacy. A mist blower will deliver the same volume of finished spray to the tree canopy and obtain the same coverage as an airblast sprayer. The mist blower sprays tree fruit plots effectively, efficiently and economically. Mist blowers will closely simulate spray results achieved with an airblast sprayer and are commonly used for efficacy trial work.
Airblast
The airblast sprayer is used in trials that require the exact same application technology that a tree fruit grower will use to apply a product. More time is required to use the airblast sprayer and therefore increases the cost per treatment. The airblast sprayer is commonly used to generate crop safety data and in large plot trials.
